Lev Gonick is the technology visionary behind a landmark project that will bring fibre connections to five underserved and impoverished Cleveland neighborhoods. Researchers at Case Western Reserve University believe broadband, along with training, computers and other broadband-enabled devices, may be a critical factor in improving these residents’ lives.They will work with 40 community partners – health care providers, public safety agencies, educational institutions and others – and with neighborhood residents to evaluate the impact that 1 Gbps broadband has on the community.
